Okay, not feeling FAT or anything.
Cleaned out my closet this weekend. Here's a look at the clothes that don't fit me anymore!
The pile on the chair will be given away. The pile on the floor is my "hope to fit into again one day" pile.

I haven't a clue how all this even fit in my closet. What's worse is that even after all this, my closet is still full.
Would you believe me if I told you I was thirsty??

Well, we found 2 of our 3 lost bags!! And inside the ones we got back were our disks of Grandma's pictures! Hooray!

So, just in case you didn't get enough, Grandma and I thought you might like to see some more fabulous pictures from our trip!

Here's Mom nursing at the Vatican in the middle of this crowd.
Do you think the Pope would take offense to that??

Here's Grandma eating that tartuffo from Tre Scalini! Yum!

Dad took this one from the rooftop of our hotel the night before Easter. We could hear the choir singing in the piazza at the Vatican.

And there was that crazy bird hanging around again... right in the planter! No wonder she was squawking at everyone her space!!

My first Roman bath...

Silly stuff with my Dad... He loves this holding me up thing.

More important though, what are we eating for dinner tonight, Dad??

Here's me and Mom at the wall of directions... Hmmm, which way do we go??

No reason for this picture other than just being cute!

Here's a few pictures with Massimo and Raffaella and Camilla...

And here's Grandma and Dad at the Ponte Vecchio.

okay, okay, last shot... just one of the four of us in Venezia. My Dad is the king of taking pictures without actually looking into the viewfinder!

Overwhelmed by too many pix? Just think of the hundreds of photos I didn't publish!!
Thanks for checking in!!

Ciao tutti!!
Just got back from my vacation in Italy and it was fantastico! There's so much to tell it's hard to know where to begin. My Mom and Dad took tons of pictures and there are way too many to include them all so I'll just give you the ones with, well, ME!! Okay, I'll throw in a few of Mom and Dad and Grandma Dottie, but really, it's all about me, isn't it? So here's a bunch to share with you for now... and by the way, you can click on any of the photos to enlarge them if you need to see them better...

Here I am on the plane waiting to take off... SHEESH that was a long plane ride!!

But we finally arrived in Milan and as much as I wanted to check things out, I was exhausted.

I know Dad was dreaming about having a beer, though,

so after my nap we ventured into the center...

We saw the Duomo, but I was still a little tired at this point. After this we went for dinner and far be it from me to miss my first meal...

And here it was! Our first meal in Italia!! Everyone was having a toast... Chin Chin!!

I had my first try at spaghetti...

Then I shared a pizza with Mom...

...and then she shared some vino with me!!

And for anyone who's gasping at my tasting the vino, here's my response to you!
We were in Italy, after all...

So the next day we were headed for Roma...
That's Rome for you non-Italian speaking people.
We weren't able to get on the train til later in the day and my Mom was tired so she had her first espresso!! I guess she didn't like it that much...

The train ride was pretty cool though!!

We got to Roma pretty late so we just headed for the hotel and went to bed. Here I am in my crib!!

The next morning we went to the Vatican.

I got to check out the Sistine Chapel. How did Michelangelo do that?? My neck hurts just looking at it!

Pretty cool that you can take digital photos of it now! Mom says you used to not be able to take any pictures!!

Here's Dad and Grandma Dottie walking along the river...

And later that day we hung out in Piazza Navona...

...had a little lunch... some caffé... and some gelato!! Mmmm...

And then made a quick stop by the Pantheon...

We did lots of other stuff in Roma, too...
We went to Piazza di Spagna (The Spanish Steps)...

We took a walk down Via Condotti... and HA! So did everyone else!!

We visited the Fontagna di Trevi (The Trevi Fountain)... Here's Grandma Dottie throwing a coin in the fountain...

We saw the Colosseum...

...and had some potato chips there. Well, I got to play with the bag anyway.

I rode a scooter... so what if it didn't go anywhere, I still rode it!!

We saw a street named for my dog, Orso (Coinsidence? Not really)...

We ate more spaghetti!!!

Had some fruit...

Mom and I had some gelato...

I tried to share some more vino with Grandma...

She wasn't going for it.

But everything in Roma was so beautiful! The flowers were all in bloom...

...especially the lilacs everywhere!! This was one of our favorite buildings...

And I had to include this crazy bird living at the top of our hotel... poor thing must have been protecting it's nest because it kept flying back and forth whenever someone would come near! In fact, day and night it was on "bird watch" because it woke me up a few times in the middle of the night! Which made me cry... which then woke my Mom up! Sorry Mom!

Our last night we took a final walk through Piazza Navona.
I helped Mom pick out some cool sketches...

and Grandma Dottie had some fun, too! Whoo-hoo! What a hottie!

and then Dad had to carry me home. I was pooped.

Next day, we were off to Firenze... and I just have way too many pictures to share.

Train rides are really fun!!

We got there the first day and saw Massimo right away!! Yay Massimo!!
He came to meet us with his daughter Camilla!

And, first things first, we met up with his wife Raffaella and went straight to the Gilli Bar for a drink!!

We had drinks and appetizers at the Gilli Bar later on that evening too!

And olives.

And beer.

I like beer!!

And afterwards we got to go on the merry-go-round and it didn't even make me sick after all that beer!!! I'm kidding people! Relax!

The next day we had lunch with everyone again...

We had pizza... and french fries...

MMmmm. Pizza, french fries... pizza, french fries...

I could get used to this Italy thing...

Later we took a ride up to Piazale Michelangelo... one of my Mom's favorite spots! We were there at sunset so we got a great daytime shot of the entire city...

and a great nighttime shot, too!!

We did lots of other stuff in Firenze, too...
I got to hang out with my Grandma...

...and we saw the Duomo... Hi Grandma!!

We shopped...

We saw this really cool mosaic of Venus in the market. Of course, it's not as good as my Mom's mosaic (Hahahahaha!!) but it was still pretty amazing!!

We shared more pizza...

and cappuccino...

and played in the piazza... HEY! We had pizza in the piazza! heehee!

We saw this gold dude... I think he was supposed to be Bacchus. But heck if I know, I'm just a kid!!

We took the train to Venice one day.
And here we are waiting for the ferry...

And arriving in San Marco...

Hey Mom, can you buy me one of these cool masks from Carnivale?? That one on the right looks pretty freaky...

Aaaand we had a little drink...

...and dancing with my Dad in the Piazza San Marco...

Taking in some of the sights...

...and a little nap...

..and a little boat ride.

After all, what's Venezia without a little boat ride???

Then back at the train station headed back to Firenze.
Whoo-hoo! Venice was really cool!

Hey, who's that hot Italian guy there on the steps...???

So the next morning, I was up REEEeeaaaly early. My Mom didn't know what to do with me so we took a walk and all the streets were empty! Did I mention it was really early??? Anyway, here's some shots with all the streets deserted...
Here's Piazza Della Republica...

And the Ponte Vecchio... a rare moment with no one there.

And some beautiful shots of the Arno with the sun coming up and the lighting was gorgeous...

Then Massimo came and got us on our last day and took us into the country to Chianti (That's the name of a town, not an activity... although now that I mention it....)

We had this amazing lunch with what seemed like a 20 course meal made by this guy...

and then had some silly fun after the meal... Here's Dad with his cappuccino...

...and me with Massimo and Camilla...

...and Grandma. Grandma loves me every single day of the year.
Really! Just ask her!!

Some shots by an old well...

And around Chianti...

And by the time we got in the car to go home, I was pooped again.
I took a little nap on the way home.

And gave Massimo a big kiss when he dropped us off.

It was sad when we had to leave the next day.
We had to say goodbye to Massimo...

and get on the train and head home.
I thought maybe if I hid, they wouldn't find me and I could stay in Italy!

But unfortunately, that plan didn't work and I had to get on the plane and come home.

So thanks for a great trip Mom and Dad and Grandma! You can bring me back to Italy anytime!!
And although it may not be Tuscany,

we've still got our own little paradise right here at home.
