Grandma made me a new quilt!!

One late night when we were all in bed
Mrs. Oleary left the lantern in the shed

she winked her eye and said

That fire is actually what we woke up to a few mornings ago at 4am. Luckily and miraculously it didn't cause any real damage.
Yesterday the smoke was so bad it turned everything to sepia! It was like living in an old western movie. Crazy. It was practically dark in the middle of the afternoon!

Tonight I went to my first Halloween party!! I got all dressed up as a zebra - even though I refused to put the hood on.













Every year we get invited to this great party given by some friends of my Mom and Dad and this is the first time in years we've been able to go, and we'll be sure not to miss it in the future! It was pretty awesome.

Yup! It's true! and I'm a hero!!
I went toddling into my Mom & Dad's room the other night and found this little bird at the mercy of Vina!! Poor little thing was traumatized... spinning in somersaults... we couldn't tell what was broken or hurt!! BUT, miraculously, she lived through the night and my Mom took her to the local veterinary hospital and they told us today that she has no broken bones and hopefully it's just a little head trauma and she'll be rehabilitated and set back out into the wild!
